📖 Contenu du Protocole
Critères d’inclusion :
Partie froide au toucher ou changement de couleur de la partie affectée.
1. Se référer au protocole 1RÉP/ACP (Approche clinique préhospitalière).
2. Si suspicion d’hypothermie, se référer au protocole 1RÉP/ENV. 6 (Hypothermie).
3. Si risque d’hypothermie, retirer les vêtements trempés.
4. Ne pas frotter ni frictionner la partie affectée. Tenter de la protéger.
5. Empêcher le refroidissement du patient.
6. Poursuivre le protocole 1RÉP/ACP (Approche clinique préhospitalière).
7. À l’arrivée des techniciens ambulanciers paramédics, leur transmettre l’information pertinente et
effectuer le transfert de responsabilités.
Remarques :
L’engelure est par définition une lésion due au froid. Elle est donc généralement localisée à l’endroit qui est exposé
à un environnement froid ou à une source de froid. Il faut distinguer l’engelure à l’hypothermie puisqu’elle peut
survenir sans hypothermie et n’affecter qu’une partie du corps.

1. Refer to the 1REP/ACP the 1REP/ACP protocol (Prehospital clinical approach).
